We borrowed a friend's kayak and life vests. The boys were really excited to try it out. Colby was so excited that as soon as we got the truck packed up to leave, he put on his life vest and wore it for the long drive to the beach, and the whole first day we were there. He really makes me smile.
He enjoyed having "play-dates with his bird friends," as he called it.
He loved chasing the waves.
Sadee loved the freedom of walking all over the beach .
And eating yummy snacks that we only buy on camping trips.

Cole wanted to have a turn being the photographer and took a bunch of funny pictures of me.
He totally posed me for this one; he told me where to stand, how to hold my arms, etc. He really had a blast.
Ryan took turns taking each boy out on the kayak. Once they figured out how to time it between the waves so they wouldn't get drenched, they had a great time. They paddled around the area and the harbor and even saw a sea lion close up.
Camping and playing on the beach really wears the kids out. They all fell asleep on the drive home. Hooray!
